Overview
The objective of this document is to provide agents with a guide on how to monitor and troubleshoot devices on Connect.

1. What is Trinity Connect
Trinity Connect is a platform that enables the monitoring, management and control of all the Mr D Restaurant Devices across the whole country.
1.1 Why is it important for agents
- Provides agents with critical information related to the device when assisting restaurants in resolving issues
- Allows agents to remotely view connectivity of devices
- Allows agents to troubleshoot and confirm that the device is working properly

3. Understanding the Connect Dashboard
Below is a screenshot of the Connect landing page after you have logged in. The below also provides a brief description of the key features on the landing page.

Home Button. Always returns you to your dashboard screen.

Global Search Button. Search for any restaurant device using the IMEI or Restaurant ID/name

Pinned Organisations. Mr D Food will always be your designated pinned company.

Pinned Devices or SIMs. A pinned device is a device in which you temporarily or permanently pin to your home page to monitor. To start off with you would not have any pinned devices.

Invites. Upon first logging on you will be sent an invite to Mr D Food. After accepting the invite the company will appear under your companies

6. User Profile Button.
- Update Profile Name and Surname
- Update/Change Password (Upon 1st time login you should create your own password)
- Edit your profile on the system.

4. Understanding the Device Detail View
The device detail view is where you interact with a single device. Here you get a quick overview of the device's state, configuration, and performance
In order to get to the device detail page search using the restaurant ID or the IMEI number of the device on the global search button on the landing page.

Communication State
- This block of information displays the device's current communication state. If the device has an associated Communications contract, this block will show a progress bar type display to give you a quick view of the online/offline status of the device.
Communication States
- “OK” device is online and successfully communicated a connection within the 15 minute threshold
- “Over Deadline 1” - device is offline and has reached the 15 minute threshold of not communicating a connection
- “Over Deadline 2” - device is offline and has reached the 30 minute threshold of not communicating a connection
- “Over Deadline 3” - device is offline and has reached the 60 minute threshold of not communicating a connection

Last message block. This information block shows you information about the most recent message the system received from the device.

Additional Views
Jobs

Map. Navigate to a map showing you the location of the device. The map will attempt to plot the device's position using the latitude and longitude reported by its GPS. See Device Map View for more information.

Main Identity display.
- The most prominent way of identifying the device to the user. The value displayed here can be set as a customisation on the company and could be the IMEI, the UID, or the device's name.

Image or Screenshot.
You can display a picture for a device. On some devices, you may ask it to take a screenshot and upload it to the system. The latest of those screenshots are displayed here.

Focussed Data display.
- When a data lens is associated with a device, it may define some data as "In focus". These data elements are displayed as a mini-dashboard here on the device detail view

Dashboard Pin.
- With this slider, you pin a device to your dashboard. When pinned, your dashboard will display the focussed data (as defined by the data lens) for your device, as well as its communication state and some other information. You can thus quickly see the device health on your dashboard and quickly click through to it.

4.2 Jobs
Navigate to a list of the last 1000 jobs sent to the device. Here you will also be able to issue commands to send to this particular device. Agents will also be able to see whether the command was sent successfully to the device.

- Target & Command: the type of command sent to the device
- Status of command: “Completed OK” successfully sent, “timed out” unsuccessfully sent
- Dropdown list of commands that can be sent to a device

Sending Commands
- Select the top icon on the left which will display a list of commands that can be sent to the device
- You can type in the specific name of the command after selecting the icon
Select the command which you want to send NOTE: Commands can only be received by an active device (communication state ok)

- the below pop up will appear
- Do not change anything under “target” and “time to live”
- Select “issue command”

If the command is successfully sent it will appear under the jobs list as “Completed/OK” in green.
If the command is unsuccessful it will appear under the jobs list as “Timed out” in orange.

4.3 Events
Navigate to a list of the last 1000 events that the device generated. See Device Event View

Events

- Time and date that the event occurred
- Unique job code for event
- Event Data type of event that occurred
- Shutdown: Device has been turned off OR rebooted
- Power Connected: Charger has been connected to device
- Power Disconnected: Charger has been disconnected from device

4.4 Latest Data
Navigate to a page where you will find the latest data reported by the device. On this page, you can filter the data according to the Data Lens associated with the device. See Device Latest Data View for more.
